New to our events calendar this year, 2019 Sydney Open combines the excitement and prestige of our premier event, State Open with the charged atmosphere and high quality racing from UniSport Australia Swimming Nationals!

UniSport Australia is the peak governing body for university sport in Australia, representing the interests of 43 universities and over 1 million students nationally.

This is our first official event collaboration with UniSport Australia, which has come about as part of an exciting partnership with UniSport Australia and Swimming Australia/Swimming NSW. UniSport Australia’s flagship swimming event - Nationals Div 1 - has been added to Swimming Australia’s national calendar as part of the high performance program, providing much-needed support to student-athletes trying to balance athletic and academic goals.

Swimming New South Wales Chief Executive Officer Mark Heathcote said: “Swimming New South Wales is delighted to host the UniSport Nationals in May. Our partnership with UniSport Australia is an important step in forging closer relationships with tertiary institutions, with the ultimate goal of encouraging swimmers to continuing their swimming well beyond their school years.”

2019 Sydney Open promises to attract the best in Australian swimming talent, including the Australian Dolphins as they prepare for Swimming Australia’s World Championship Trials in June.

Place your entries today to participate in one of Sydney’s most progressive sporting collaborations!
