Coaches

Coach at a pool holding a stopwatch

Coaches are critically important members of our sport. They provide guidance, support and motivation to swimmers and their families in many ways.

Coaches spend many hours creating individualised training programs to meet their swimmers' physiological needs, and delivering the training programs through training sessions at their local pool. You'll see coaches in action at competitions, providing direction and feedback to their squads.

Behind the scenes coaches are a trusted role model and confidant to their swimmers. Their knowledge base is necessarily diverse in order to meet the emotional and psychological needs of their swimmers outside of the pool.
