Narrabri Stingrays SC is hiring a high performance coach for their well-established regional club. Located in the New England and North West area, Narrabri Stingrays swim all year round thanks to access to both a 50m outdoor and 25m heated indoor pool.
The high-performance coach will be expected to challenge each individual swimmer to achieve their representative competition goals at local, regional, state and country levels. Attendance at carnivals will also be necessary. It is essential that the candidate is willing to work as a part of the Narrabri Stingrays coaching team and uphold the values of the club in all settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, deliver and manage the seasonal squad training programs and schedules in line with club goals
- Attend carnivals to provided support and feedback to swimmers
- Encourage great work ethic and commitment to the program, motivating squad swimmers to achieve goals and successful competitive results.
- Be a positive role model and encourage an attitude of fair play, sportsmanship and appropriate conduct at training and competitions.
- Develop a positive team culture and provide opportunities for swimmers to show their abilities and achieve their individual goals
- Communicate in a respectful, positive, effective, and timely manner with swimmers, parents, coaches and the club’s Board.
- Support members and the Club’s Board to promote, develop and grow the club in the local community.
