Orange will host the best regional swimming talent this weekend for the highly anticipated 2024 Country Regional Championships.
Supported by Orange City Council, the event on January 20 and 21 not only serves as a vital opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills but also acts as a pathway to qualify for the prestigious 2024 NSW Country Championships.
The Orange Swimming Club has also been selected to present the event, which provides a platform for upcoming regional swimmers to compete against each other while also providing an opportunity for family and friends to enjoy the delights the area has to offer.
Swimming NSW Chief Executive Officer Kirsten Thomson highlighted the importance of the partnership between Orange City Council and Swimming NSW in hosting these events.
"There will be hundreds of athletes and their families making the trip to Orange, not only for plenty of competitive fun in the pool but also lots of enjoyment to be exploring the attractions in the area. Orange Swimming Club and Aquatic Centre with the support of the Swimming NSW team will deliver a wonderful event,” Ms Thomson said.
Orange Mayor Jason Hamling said there would be plenty of action in the pool as well as opportunities for visitors to explore the region.
"We welcome all swimming competitors along with their families to the region to enjoy not only the fantastic Orange Aquatic Centre but also everything that the region has to offer. We thank Swimming NSW for choosing our city to host this exciting event and look forward to working with them for successful outcomes," Cr Hamling said.

The 2024 Country Regional Championships promise to be a celebration of talent, community, and the rich diversity of regional NSW.
