It's not just the pools and oceans that are making waves in NSW. It's also the remarkable women and girls who are breaking records, changing lives, and inspiring us all! Get ready to make a splash for one of the most inspiring celebrations of the year – NSW Women's Week 2024!

In a double dose of empowerment and recognition, next year’s festivities will include a prestigious awards celebration along with an opportunity for clubs to secure funding for events or activities that align with the objectives of NSW Women’s Week, 4- 10 March 2024.

Honouring excellence: The NSW Women of the Year Awards

The NSW Women of the Year Awards, an integral part of NSW Women's Week, will once again recognise and celebrate the remarkable contributions of women and girls across the state. These awards shine a spotlight on their determination, bravery, skill, and passion, serving as a powerful source of inspiration for others. Moreover, they honour role models who challenge inequality, innovate, and inspire change in their communities.

The 2024 award categories include:

  • Premier’s NSW Woman of Excellence
  • NSW Community Hero
  • NSW Young Woman of the Year
  • NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year

Additionally, nominations are now open for the Ones to Watch Showcase, a special category that will spotlight rising stars in the community. This showcase aims to recognise the exceptional talents and potential of 10 exemplary young girls between the ages of 7-15 years old.

The winners of these prestigious awards will be officially announced at the NSW Women of the Year Awards ceremony on 7 March 2024, as part of the NSW Women’s Week 2024 celebrations.

Nominations close at 11:59 pm on Sunday, 8 October 2023, so the race to honour outstanding women and girls is on! Find out more about the award categories and nominate.

Funding for progress: NSW Women's Week Grants Program
