Swimming NSW and the Fukuoka Prefecture have today signed a partnership agreement that will support the future of swimming within Australia and Japan.
The partnership agreement will promote cooperation, mutual visits, and knowledge sharing across the following focus areas:
- Competitive pathways
- Female participation
- Coach development
Swimming NSW CEO Kirsten Thomson welcomed the partnership stating, ‘Swimming NSW and the Fukuoka Prefecture now have the opportunity to exchange ideas, provide competition opportunities to athletes and develop and grow our sport’.
‘We thank our friends at the Fukuoka Prefecture for visiting us today and we look forward to working with them to create exciting opportunities for our swimmers’.
