We recently updated our Swimming NSW swimming rules to align with rule changes implemented by World Aquatics (formerly FINA) in January 2023.
This week, we were notified of further changes and have again updated our GENERAL RULES, SWIMMING RULES, OPEN WATER & MULTI CLASS SWIMMING RULES to align with the most recent World Aquatics changes. We refer in particular to rule SW6.3.
The new rules are now operational for all Swimming NSW meets, including this weekend's 2023 NSW Junior State Age Championships.
These changes will impact the event, so it is critically important that all technical officials, referees, coaches, and swimmers familiarise themselves with these changes before the weekend.
