Australian Age MC Championships: Day 3 Wrap

Day 3: Last Day for Multi-Class produce more Medals for the Mighty Blues: 

Today was the last competition day at the Multi-Class National Age Championships with two events on offer. The two events were the Girls and Boys 50m Freestyle and NSW collected another 9 medals to add to their impressive total from the previous 2 days. 

Congratulations to our Gold Medal swimmers and their coaches… 

  • Emmeline Giraud (Randwick City) collected her first National Gold Medal of her career in the 12-13yrs 50m Freestyle. Her time and a new PB was 33.96. 

  • Beau Matthews (Southern Sydney) added to his Gold Medal haul by winning the 14-15yrs 50m Freestyle. 

  • Declan Budd (Knox Pymble) continued his winning ways taking out the 16-18yrs 50m Freestyle in a quick 24.97…a great PB!

What a fabulous 3 days of Multi-Class racing on the Gold Coast…special mention to our National Gold Medallists…they won a total of 35 Gold Medals! The final medal count was: 36 Gold, 28 Silver & 34 Bronze…98 medals! 

  • Declan Budd (Knox Pymble – Coach Rafael Rodrigues) – 7 Gold, 1 Silver 

  • Noah Erne (Lower Blue Mountains SC- Coach Corin Dobson) – 7 Gold, 1 Silver 

  • Mia Hogan (Albury – Wayne Gould) – 7 Gold, 2 Silver 

  • Beau Matthews (Southern Sydney – Gavin Stewart) – 6 Gold, 1 Silver 

Congratulations to ALL our medal winners and all who made finals…you did your State proud! Special mention to all the coaches…great job team!
