Australian Age Championships: Day 4 Wrap

Day 4: Northern Beaches Clubs riding the wave to Gold:

Awesome day for the Warringah Piranhas as they strike Gold, Gold, Gold! Led by Head Coach Angelo Basalo, they put some great swims together winning 3 of the 7 Golds NSW swimmers won tonight.

Young Hannah Huisman (Coach Lach Van Tempest) led the charge with Gold in the 13yrs 50m Freestyle in a time of 26.31. Sam Higgs then stood up and took out the 17yrs 200m Breaststroke in 2:18.11. Lachlan Davies claimed the 15yrs 50m Freestyle in 23.93…all swims were new PB’s. Congratulations to Coaches Angelo & Lach!

Macquarie University claimed their first Gold with Nicolas Gladen (Coach Tatiana Matts) winning the 17yrs 50m Backstroke in 26.70 (pictured).

Knox Pymble claimed 2 Golds – Ethan Haegebaert (Coach Steve Goodier) swam a brilliant race to win the 14yrs 50m Freestyle in a quick 23.66, then Kai Lilienthal (Coach Nick Dobson) started his week with a dominant display in the 18yrs 50m Butterfly…winning in a new PB of 24.24.

Olivia Wunsch (Carlile – Coach Michaela Patterson) won the Girls 17yrs 50m Butterfly in a new PB of 26.34!

Congratulations to all our medal winners…7 gold, 7 Silver & 4 Bronze bringing the overall total to 12 Gold, 11 Silver & 13 Bronze.
