Australian Age and MC Age Championships: Final Report

2024 National MC & Age Championships Report:

After an amazing 9 days of competition on the Gold Coast the Mighty Blues stood tall to record some memorable swims.

We will have swimmers make teams off the back of the championships while the SNSW Pathway Squads will fill with some amazing talent…all earned in the toughest arena.

Huge congratulations to our Gold medallists from both the MC Age Championships and the Age Championships:

Multi Class Championships:

There were swimmers who won multiple Gold medals in both competitions. Congratulations to both swimmer and their respective coaches.

Multi-Class:

  • 7 Gold Medals: Declan Budd (Knox Pymble), Noah Erne (Lower Blue Mountains)

  • 6 Gold Medals: Mia Hogan (Albury), Beau Matthews (Southern Sydney)

National Age:

  • 5 Gold Medals: Luke Higgs (Warringah)

  • 4 Gold Medals: Lillie Mcpherson (Manly)
  • 3 Gold Medals: Sienna Toohey (Albury), Olivia Wunsch (Carlile), Heidi Shumack (SOPAC), Samuel Higgs (Warringah)
  • 2 Gold Medals: Kaitlin Barry (Carlile), Marcus Da Silva (Cranbrook), Lachlan Davies (Warringah), Alexander Foreman (KPD), Ethan Haegebaert (Knox Pymble), Josh Kerr (Manly), Harrison Tancred (Aquablitz).

Congratulations to all the NSW swimmers and coaches…a long and hard 9 days but well worth the effort!

Our attention now turns to the Australian Open where there is a large number of international swimmers competing. The swimmers will be in varying stages of their preparations for the Olympic Trials that will be held in June but as always would like to swim fast.

GO THE MIGHTY BLUES!
