SNSW Regional Participation Scholarships

Overview

Swimming NSW (SNSW) will launch a new funding initiative to provide financial support to qualifying regionally based athletes*, coaches, and technical officials, assisting their participation in SNSW state events at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre (SOPAC) across the next 12 months. The program closely aligns with the SNSW Strategic Plan and our ambition to support regional growth and performance. The costs of travelling to Sydney for our regional members can be significant and these scholarships will aim to reduce the burden for recipients.

SNSW will invest $10,000 in funding from Winter 2025 through to the end of the Summer 2026 season (end March) in the form of scholarships for regional members including coaches, technical officials and swimmers. Members can apply for a $500 scholarship to help cover travel, accommodation, event entry, and meal costs.

The following scholarships are available across the eligibility period:

  • 8 x $500 swimmer scholarships

  • 7 x $500 coach scholarships

  • 5 x $500 technical official scholarships
