Junior Excellence (JX) Award Program
The Australian Junior Excellence Program (JX), recognises rewards and encourages junior swimmers who, through their development of aquatic skills and fitness, achieve a high standard of swimming excellence.
Under the revised program, swimmers aged from 9 to 16 years, who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia, qualify at Gold, Silver, Bronze or Green standard, depending on their best performance/s during the season.
For doing so, qualifiers receive special recognition by way of:
- Publication of their name on this website
- A JX prize pack including a cap, poster and certificate.

2015-2016 JX Distribution FAQ
Where will my club's JX packs be delivered?
Clubs will receive JX packs in boxes to their listed Delivery Address in their Details tab in ClubLANE.
How many boxes will I get?
Depending on the number of packs going to your club, your club may receive more than 1 box. If your club is expecting/missing a box, please allow 5-10 working days for the remainder to arrive as they may have been separated by the courier en-route.
What do I do if I'm missing a box?
Our distributor has tracking records for each box/consignment leaving their depot. If you have waited the prescribed 5-10 working days above and you are still missing JX packs, submit an enquiry here.
How do I know who my JX packs are for?
On the side of each box there will be a list of the box's contents. The info includes the swimmers' membership number, name , JX Standard, Age, Club name, and State. JX packs will have the swimmer's certificate inside the bag so you can tell who each pack is for.
What if one of my club's JX packs is wrong or we're missing a pack?
Due to the JX packs being picked and packed prior to arriving in Australia they are correct as of a specific date. Any enquiries from swimmers that required a new level/change of club after this date will be sent out separately from the rest of their club’s packs, which could take up to 5-10 working days.
Do our JX Legends get anything special?
JX Legend awardees will receive a “JX Legend” bag tag and congratulations letter. These will be sent separately to the JX packs once we have completed the distribution of JX packs.
If you have reason to believe you were missed from the 2015-2016 JX awards, or your award level or club is incorrect, let Swimming Australia know here.

Introducing the JX Legends program
The JX Legend status is awarded to swimmers who have:
- achieved a Gold award for 5 years or more, or
- who are 15 and 16 years old and raced at the 2016 Australian Age Championships.
These swimmers will be given special recognition on the Swimming Australia website and a new JX Legend avatar on their MyLANE account. This award recognises results from 2010 to 2016 and includes JX Gold Star awards and YPS Gold standard.
