NSW Breaststroker Matt Wilson in competition

Swimming is embedded in Australia's spirit. We live in a country of forever sunshine, surrounded by beaches, pools and rivers.

Swimming is not just a well-loved sport and recreational activity - it's an incredibly important skill that promotes life-long health, fitness and mobility, and prevents drownings.

Aside from the many physical benefits it provides, the ability to swim (and swim well) offers cultural and social benefits. Competent swimmers can participate in swimming clubs and ocean swimming throughout their lives. Summer trips to the beach become opportunities to cool down and have fun instead of being potentially dangerous.

Swimming NSW's mission is to become our state's leading sport through increased participation, enhanced performance and through the provision of quality life skills developing programs for the community. We are proud to have the support of various commercial sponsors and partners, whom through their support, make it possible for us to share our love of swimming with the people of NSW.

As the state governing body for swimming in New South Wales and the ACT, Swimming NSW currently maintains a membership of over 32,000 members across 12 affiliated Areas and over 350 Clubs.

Our organisation has a significant footprint in the sporting landscape across NSW and a partnership with us would provide exposure to our extensive communication network (including a social media audience of over 22,000 followers) as well as association with a peak state sporting organisation representing one of Australia's favourite sporting past times.

Swimming NSW is an affiliate of the national swimming body Swimming Australia. The initiatives held within NSW have scope to be picked up by Swimming Australia’s communication channels for national exposure.

For all partnership enquiries please contact CEO Mark Heathcote on 02 9763 5833 or mark.heathcote@nsw.swimming.org.au.
