Competitive Squad Coach Required (Junior squad 10-13yrs)

Join the team at Swim Squads and help develop successful squad programs whilst leading squad training sessions under the guidance of the Head Coach.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head Coach, the Squad Coach is an essential individual working with our wider team in the delivery of Swim Squads programs and services. You are required to maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Squad programs, educational trends and industry development.

This role also entails;

  • The delivery of safe, effective and professional sessions that progress the ability of swimmers
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of Coaching
  • Ensuring that you are available to undertake every allocated squad for a minimum of 12 months
  • Additional WHS, administration and planning of the Squad program.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work various shifts from 5:00AM – 9:00AM and from 3:30PM – 8:30PM, including weekends.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • HLTAID003/HTLAID011 - 'Provide First Aid' or similar
  • HLTAID001/HLTAID009 - 'CPR' or similar
  • Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes/Teacher of Competitive Swimming
  • Bronze Coaching Licence Accreditation

Narrabeen Swimming Club Inc (NBSC)

NBSC is a competitive swimming club based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It competes in local, SMNE, Swimming NSW, National and International events across a range of age groups from juniors through to Opens. NBSC is a club rich in heritage having been established now for more than 40 years at Sydney’s Academy of Sport & Recreation in Narrabeen.
Swim Squads is the NBSC coaching service provider. We are committed to building the very best environment for NBSC swimmers, not only in the pool but outside it as well. We are established exclusively for NBSC and dedicated solely to the development of swimmers in the NBSC program.

Safe Sport Framework (SSF)

Applicants will undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:

  • a national criminal history check;
  • an international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas;
  • holding or obtaining a Working with Children Clearance/equivalent in accordance with state/ territory laws;
  • two reference checks.

Please note, the results of any National and International Police Check will only be used to assess your suitability to perform the role. The successful applicant will be required to uphold the policies and procedures of Swim Squads and NBSC, including but not being limited to the SSF.
