Day 2: Hodge and Greenwood win Gold in great prep for Para Trials:
Tim Hodge (ACU Blacktown – Coach Misha Payne) continues his winning ways on Day 2. In a great performance in the Men’s 100m Backstroke Multi Class Tim’s time of 1:00.20 was just a tick over his PB. Tim continues to swim fast under load which bode well for the Trials commencing in 52 days.
Not to be outdone was Jasmine Greenwood (Cruiz – Coach Marty Roberts) winning the Women’s 100m Backstroke Multi Class in a time of 1:12.07…also just over her PB. Both Tim & Jasmine will be competing in one of their best events tomorrow, the 200m IM.
In the Olympic program Bella Grant (Trinity Grammar – Coach Ben Tuxford) had a cracking swim to record a new PB in the Women’s 200m Butterfly. In a world class field where Elizabeth Dekkers set a new Australian All Comers Record, Bella’s time of 2:08.42 was faster than her silver medal performance in Israel (Junior Worlds) last year. In doing so she claimed the Age Bronze medal.
