South Australia Tourism Commission

Thanks to the South Australian Government and South Australian Tourism Commission, Swimming Australia is delighted to be heading to the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre for its pinnacle event in 2021. Excitingly this marks the third consecutive Olympic / Paralympic qualification event staged in Adelaide. 

 

The 2021 Australian Swimming Trials will attract Australia's best, as they compete to be nominated to the Australian team to compete at the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

 

Qualifying times must be achieved after 1 January 2019.

Minimum age is 13 years for females and 14 years for males.

Minimum Age for MC swimmers is 12 years. 

Age is taken as at the first day of competition, Saturday 12 June 2021.

Multi Class Swimmers: Carefully check the QT's document, not all events are open to all classifications. You can only enter eligible events that you have a valid qualifying time for. If you enter an event that you are ineligible for or do not qualify for, you will be removed from that event.

    Swimmer Pin Holders competing at an event will not be eligible to apply for Swimmer Pin Tickets for that event. All competitors will be allocated an accreditation pass for the event which provides sufficient access to all areas of the venue while they are competing.

  • Swimming Australia, in collaboration with SA Health and SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre, have measures in place to ensure this event is run in accordance with the approved COVID Management Plan.

    As at 28th May, these include:

    • Stay home if you are feeling unwell and get tested for COVID-19

    • Upon arrival, have your ticket or accreditation ready for scanning and maintain appropriate physical distancing as you make your way through the venue.

    • All attendees must check in using SA’s COVID SAfe Check in app.

    • Masks must be worn at all times unless consuming food/drink while in your allocated seat.

    • Follow signage and directions of event day staff

    • Sit in the reserved seat allocated to you.

    • Practice good hygiene at all times; keep up the hand washing/use sanitiser and always cough/sneeze into your elbow.

    • When leaving, please remember to respect others and keep your distance from other people at all times.
