With thanks to the Victorian Government, Swimming Australia is excited to return to Melbourne Sports Centres - MSAC for the 2020 Hancock Prospecting Australian Short Course Swimming Championships. Providing athletes with their first opportunity in 2020 to compete on the national stage. The event is sure to attract Australia's best as they battle it out in the 25m pool for the title of Australian Champion.
Extending from three days to four, the meet will include B-finals providing more racing opportunity for athletes. Staged in the outdoor pool, this event is one not to be missed.

B finals will be conducted for all events up to and including 400m, provided 24 or more competitors contest the heats. The B final will be swum directly following the A final.
B finals will be conducted for all MC events up to and including 100m, provided 24 or more swimmers contest the heats.
Qualifying times should be achieved in a 25m pool. A time in a 50m pool can only be used without a conversion factor when a short course time is not available.
Qualifying times must be achieved after 1 January 2019.
Minimum age is 13 years for females and 14 years for males as at the first day of competition. Minimum Age for MC swimmers is 12 years as at the first day of competition.

Swimming Australia will continually reassess qualifying times for National Events due to the evolving COVID-19 situation to ensure that swimmers (from affected areas) are not disadvantaged in qualifying.
